| Joseph Dell’Aquila |

Joe is uniquely qualified to advise clients and advertising agencies on the search process as well as many other related areas. He has held senior management positions at major advertisers, agencies and media planning/buying firms, and has worked with both international and domestic clients.
His career began at Polaroid Corporation, where he was involved in the promotion of all consumer products. After moving to New York, he commenced a highly successful career with several major
advertising agencies.
He was Vice President, Account Management at NW Ayer on some of the agency’s most important clients including AT&T, Pan Am and JC Penny. He supervised one of the most memorable campaigns in advertising history for AT&T (“Reach out and touch someone”) and managed the first global advertising program for Pan Am.
While at Doyle Dane Bernbach, he managed a diverse portfolio of major assignments. IBM (global assignment) and Michelin were his mainstay accounts. He became a Senior Vice President and served
on the agency’s New York Operating Committee.
He joined Bates Worldwide as Executive Vice President and quickly was named to the US Operations Committee, based on his
contributions and success with three key accounts – M&M Mars, Dole Foods and British Airways.
Joe became Chief Operating Officer of DeWitt Media, one of the largest and most successful media-buying firms in the US where he was responsible for marketing, research, promotion and new business. During his tenure, DeWitt more than doubled its billings.
He served three years as Senior Vice President, Director of Marketing for American General Financial Group, before forming Continental Consulting Group.
Joe holds a BA from Manhattan College and an MBA from Columbia University.

Mary Ellen is a savvy consumer marketing professional with comprehensive packaged goods and digital/direct marketing experience.
Having begun her career at The House of Burgundy, she then joined Joseph E. Seagram and Sons, where she held various positions ranging from Director of Marketing for National Accounts to Brand Management, culminating in a leadership position in the pioneering Direct Marketing area.
As Director, Direct Marketing, and as Global Director, Mary Ellen developed, tested and implemented analytic tools including financial analysis and consumer research to evaluate effectiveness. During her tenure, the discipline grew from being direct mail based to a hybrid of traditional and digital communications streams.
She drove the growth and quality of the consumer database, a leader among non-traditional direct marketers in the US, employing modeling and other technologies to optimize targeting efficiencies and cost effectiveness.
She established relationship marketing as a discipline at The Pillsbury Company, and led the launch of a strategic partnership with family.com (Disney Internet Group).
As Vice President, Relationship Marketing at Diageo, Mary Ellen led a team of specialists in the development and execution of campaigns in the postal, email and Internet channels. She had the lead strategic role in Digital Media, all on-line consumer communications, and consumer care, including agency selection, management, and evaluation.
She is co-President of Les Dames d'Escoffier, New York (a professional organization of women of achievement in the culinary, fine beverage and hospitality industries) and on the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Grand Opera and Orchestra.
Mary Ellen is a graduate of Wellesley College and holds an MS in Journalism from Columbia University and an MBA from New York University.

Paul Goldsmith has worked on both sides of the client/agency relationship for over 40 years.
His experience includes long stints in senior marketing and management roles in the consumer divisions of two international drug firms (Carter-Wallace and Hoffmann-LaRoche) and at one of the country’s largest philanthropies (UJA-Federation).
As an agency executive, he held positions including: CEO, President, COO, Executive Vice President and Vice Chairman, while serving several firms at two major holding companies (Omnicom and Saatchi & Saatchi).
Given that background, he has provided counsel to CCG clients on a variety of topics including Agency Compensation, Agency/Client Relationships, Agency Search, Strategic Planning, Profit / Performance Enhancement and Presentation Skills Training.
A number of major marketers such as: Bacardi, Bird’s Eye, Dannon, Reckitt Benckiser and Sara Lee have sought Continental Consulting Group’s expertise in this area.
Paul holds a BS in Journalism from Boston University and lives in Glen Rock, New Jersey.
